The Bookout Cemetery and Infant Benton
Submitted by kep on Mon, 06/30/2008 - 03:29.One of the mysteries that I have run into is an Infant Benton that was buried in the Bookout Cemetery. I guess thinking about an unknown infant, dieing at birth then having their grave disturbed to make a recreational lake bothers me. I can almost picture the child's burial in my head with family members grieving. It is one of mysteries I really want to solve.
Land Patent Search
Submitted by kep on Sun, 06/01/2008 - 00:51.Donna Hansen sent me a copy of Thomas Bentons land patent in Missouri this week. I remembered running across it a while back, on Ancestry.com and at the GLOs Land Patent Search. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/PatentSearch/Default.asp?. I need to get the file upload fixed on this site so I can upload copies of files I find in a more organized manner. While looking it up, I ran across the land patents for William Hayes Benton's brother's, James F Benton, land patents and downloaded copies of this.
